Want to volunteer?
HOP would love more George Hospital volunteers.
Weekdays at 13:30, HOP volunteers head to the George Regional Hospital to play with the kids placed in long term care. This gives them a chance to forget about where they are and enjoy being kids.
You can volunteer to join particular projects such as creche renovations, knitting projects, library drop offs, collecting resources and/or fundraising. Let us know what skills and interests you have and we can connect you to a project.

You can join our prayer team. Once a week we send out prayer requests and the wonderful team covers our various needs in prayers.
Donating in different shapes and sizes
HOP is always in need of crayons, colouring in pages, magazines, and books.
We hand these out on a weekly basis.
Hospital visits
We love making our visits extra fun. Soft toy puppets, stickers, bubbles, balloons, arts and crafts are great ways to do this and would be much appreciated.
Supporting schools
We love to hand out bean bags, hoola hoops, skipping ropes, educational toys and posters to creches and pre-schools. We also love collecting books for them. These are great resources and go far in furthering their development.

We are happy to pass on gently used kids clothes, durable toys and food parcels to those in need.
We partner with many creches, non profits, foster care homes, schools and organisations and love to fill a need through our amazing supporters.
